As an eco-school, Mono Cliffs is vigilant about water, food, and electricity consumption. We all had to take only what we needed, and eat only what we took. Doing so ensured that there was as little waste as possible left over at each meal. We also had to be careful about how much water we consumed. For example, we learned to turn off the water while we brushed our teeth or washed our hands. We learned how to make quinzees and how to cook banok over an open fire. We also participated in an instincts for survival game, and some of us were herbivores, some of us were carnivores, and some of us were omnivores. Now it's your turn to share.
Why do you think we need to conserve (save) water, food, and electricity? What activity did we participate in that helped you to learn that? How can you see yourself using these skills in the future?
